If you want to hire me as an engineer, my daily rate is 300€. If you only need me for a few hours to record vocals or overdubs, the rate is 50€ / hour.

MIXING
Your tracks, mixed at Dystopia Recordings!
We will mix your tracks using a high end analog / digital hybrid Setup in our pristine acoustically treated studio.
Our rate starts at 350,- for a mix-ready song.
That means you provide edited, consolidated and labeled WAV files.
If you need me to edit / tune your tracks, no problem but the rate will be a different one depending on the expense.

MASTERING
Your track, mastered at Dystopia Recordings!
We will master your song using our high-end analog gear to lift it to a competitive level that meets today's standards. Your song will get the benefit and mojo of real tubes, transformers, and wires.
Our rate starts at 75,- for a master-ready song. That means you provide a well balanced Stereo Mix with enough headroom and no Limiter on the Stereo Bus. If a Limiter was a crucial part of your Mix - leave it on.

FAQs
How do I send my tracks?
Please provide your files via WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive. Ensure all tracks are consolidated to the same starting point and clearly labeled. Please also include a rough mix of your song—it is much easier for me to have a reference of what you were listening to during the recording process.
What file format do we have to deliver?
We prefer 48khz / 24 bit WAV Files, but 44.1khz / 24 bit is also fine.
Do you use real hardware or just plugins?
We use a high-end hybrid setup. While plugins are great for surgical tasks, the heavy lifting—adding warmth, character, and depth—is done by our analog tubes, transformers, and outboard gear. You get the best of both worlds.
How should I prepare my tracks for mixing?
Please provide your individual tracks as consolidated WAV files. Remove all limiters, compressors, and heavy EQ from your exported tracks. If a specific effect is crucial to your sound, keep it, but please provide a "dry" version of the track as well. Make sure that your tracks are not clipping and have a good amount of headroom (-6dB if possible).
What is the turnaround time for a Mix / Master?
That depends on the project (EP, Album, Single, etc.). For a Master, it is usually 1–2 business days.
For Mixes, I prefer to work over the course of 2–3 days, especially when it is the first track of an album. This allows me to step away and check the progress of the mix in different environments—whether it's during a walk or while doing groceries—ensuring a fresh perspective over a period of time.
How many revisions are included?
The rate includes 3 rounds of revisions. The better you can communicate what you want, the quicker we will hit the finish line.
Do you offer a Testmix / Testmaster?
If you want me to mix a single song, the answer is no. If you want me to mix an EP or an album, the answer is: "it depends."
When mixing an album, it’s crucial that we vibe together and share a vision. If we find we aren't the right fit after the first song, I will only charge half of my rate for that initial test mix. On the other hand, I am happy to provide a free test master for you.
